Our objective

The objective of the Better Regulation Council is to scrutinise the quality of, and issue opinions on, regulatory impact assessments of proposals that may have significant effects on businesses.

  • RegWatchEurope scrutiny of the omnibus for simplification process

    RegWatchEurope has issued recommendations to the European Commission, the European Parliament and the Council of Ministers regarding the application of better regulation principles in the ongoing omnibus for simplification process.

  • Annual report 2025 submitted to the ministry of Climate and Enterprise

    The report provides information on the quality of reviewed impact assessments, the Swedish Better Regulation Council’s (SBRC) participation in training courses, and its involvement in international and other contexts throughout the year. Additionally, the annual report includes the SBRC’s recommendations for strengthening impact assessment work in the future.

  • Paul Mollerup summarizes RegWatchEurope activities in 2025

    In 2025, the Danish Business Regulation Forum (DBRF) has led the work in RegWatchEurope (RWE), a network of independent scrutiny bodies, where the Swedish Better Regulation Council is a member. We talked to Paul Mollerup, chair of DBRF, who gives some highlights of the activities in 2025 and some reflections for the coming year.
